Welcome!

New Family Welcome

We are so excited to welcome your family to Home4Kidz! Here's everything you need to know to get started on the right foot.

A Message from Ms. Natacha

"Welcome to our Home4Kidz family! I know that leaving your child in someone else's care is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. I want you to know that I take that trust very seriously. Your child will be loved, nurtured, and celebrated here every single day. If you ever have questions, concerns, or just want to chat about your child's day, my door is always open. We're in this together!"

— Ms. Natacha Michel

Drop-Off Routine

Arrive between 7:00am–9:00am. Sign your child in at the door. A brief, cheerful goodbye is best — long goodbyes can make transitions harder. Trust that your child will settle quickly!

Pick-Up Routine

Pick up by 5:00pm. Sign your child out each day. Only authorized individuals on your pick-up list may collect your child. Photo ID will be requested.

Communication

You'll receive daily updates about your child's day. For urgent matters, call or text 240-483-3038. We also share updates and photos on our private social media.

Transition Support

It's completely normal for children (and parents!) to need an adjustment period. We use gentle, consistent routines to help children feel safe and secure.

First Day Expectations

1

It's okay to feel emotional

Many parents feel anxious or sad on the first day. This is completely normal! Know that your child is in loving, capable hands.

2

Keep goodbyes short and sweet

A confident, cheerful goodbye helps children transition more easily. Lingering can increase anxiety for both of you.

3

Your child may cry — and that's okay

Most children settle within minutes of a parent leaving. We will always call you if your child is inconsolable.

4

Expect an adjustment period

It may take 1–2 weeks for your child to fully settle into the new routine. Consistency is key!

5

You'll get a full report

At pick-up, we'll share how the day went — what your child ate, how they napped, what they enjoyed, and any special moments.
